approver in the Maharashtra Sadan scam case On Thursday Naik once a trusted lieutenant of Bhujbal told the Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) Court that he would become an approver in the case The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has primarily agreed to his offer as Naik was allegedly instrumental in rerouting the kickbacks received by the Bhujbals at their Mumbai Education Trust (MET) office in cash into the dummy companies alleged to have been floated to accommodate the bribe amounts After an oral submission to offer himself as an approver Naik moved a bail application before the court The ED accepted his offer and did not oppose his bail plea He was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 50000 Naik will be required to record his statement under Section 164 of the CrPC before a magistrate after his plea is admitted in the court According to ED officials Naik was allegedly entrusted with the responsibility of turning black money alleged to have been received as kickbacks in
